Attendant Care / Personal Care

Care For You Attendant Care / Personal Care Services are one-to-one provided in the home by a TruCare® trained care worker.

• Comply and enhance the Care Plan developed by the client, case manager, doctor, occupational therapist and other allied health professionals.
• Provide professionally trained, safe, sensitive and dignified in home attendant personal care.
• Identify and contact other organisations that can provide services that our client may need.
• Assisting and supporting our clients in daily living tasks including:
  • Food preparation.
  • Eating and drinking.
  • Bathing, showering and sponging.
  • Dressing and undressing.
  • Shaving, hair care and grooming.
  • Making phone calls
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers.
  • Assisting with rehabilitation and associated therapies.
  • Accompany clients shopping or to appointments.
  • Toileting - bowel and bladder care.
  • Supervision of medication.
  • Support with aids and appliances.
  • Occasional exercise and therapy.
  • Accompany clients to community access.
  • Writing and mailing letters
  • Paying bills
    
• Assist our clients in developing independent living skills in areas such as:
  • Community access and participation.
  • Accessing recreational activities.
  • Developing independence in activities of daily living including personal care and domestic tasks.
  • Managing mobility and transfers.
  • Managing aids and appliances.
  • Managing therapy programs.

Care For You Attendant Carers are available as required. Hours will vary according to your particular needs and the funding available to you.
Our care teams are available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week (including overnight support).

• Clients will be treated with respect and dignity.
• Services will be planned, with input from the client, to meet the specific needs of the client
• The care team will be carefully selected and will attend ongoing training programs.
• Client privacy and confidentiality will be maintained at all times.
• All clients will receive regular face to face communication from their Care Manager ensuring that any concerns are dealt with promptly.
• All clients will have the ability to be involved in the formal process of review of both their individual program and of the organisation in general.
